Halloween is a time of year for makeup junkies to get creative. If you’re anything like me, or Jay, then you’re probably scouring Pinterest for costume inspiration. Makeup plays a huge part of that, of course! Jay is one of my biggest sources of inspo when it comes to make up because, duh, he has receipts!
And did you know that you can create elaborate looks like these with common products straight from your makeup stash? It’s not as hard as you may think, that’s why Jay invited fellow makeup artist Kenneth Llambelis for the last Facebook live stream, where they provided some tips and tricks for how to create a skull look with an emphasis on blocking brows.
Kenneth created a daunting skull face using Jay Manuel Beauty products including:
This particular skull is Kenneth’s most requested look, but guess what? You can spin it however you want AND experiment with endless color. That is what you call a sugar skull! Check out these beauties I snagged from Pinterest:
Did you know that the technical term for making your brows disappear is called, “blocking?” I definitely just learned something new. All you need is a glue stick or Pros-Aide, and loose powder for setting (I highly suggest the Luxe Filter Loose Powder to get the job done). Kenneth shares the step by step process on the Facebook live.
Again, there are a lot of ways you can mix and match makeup to create a standout look. It could be a Classic pinup girl , a recreation of an Iconic pop star, or an Avant Garde Alien Babe (*wink*). Like I said, I’m feeling the skull face this year, but the possibilities are endless no matter what you do!
Make sure you watch the livestream here, share it with your Halloween-obsessive friends, and download the free Jay Manuel Beauty App, where you will have a personal beauty concierge at your fingertips.
